This will be the final meeting for 2013. 
We have talked about the numerous ways to improve your resume, your LinkedIn Profile, targeting companies, finding and building contacts, using Informational Interviews and had Recruiters answer your questions.  Now it is time to practice through Mock Interviews using a single Interviewer format for "a friendly chat amidst some friends."
This is to create an interview like situation for our volunteers to be interviewed plus the distraction or pressure of having other people looking at the volunteer during the interview.  Yet we want to create a fair, supportive but honest feedback to help the volunteer AND the attendees learn from the event so everyone will leave smarter and better prepared for their next interview.  Anyone who elects to use any other approach will be asked to leave and, if needed, escorted out.  This is to help not hurt the participants. 
The approach is:
  1. Each interview most likely will be somewhere between 8 and 15 minutes
    Each Candidate will be given unique questions that are not job or industry specific
  2. Each Attendee will be provided an Interviewee evaluation sheet to record their:
    a)  observations, good and bad, with the Attendee's notes/comments on back
    b)  evaluation using a standardized form of their performance as a Candidate
  3. The Interviewer will provide their feedback after the Attendees share their thoughts
  4. The Candidate will be given an opportunity to explain their responses if they see fit
  5. All Attendee written feedback will be provided to the Candidate to keep
    The form provided does NOT have any place to write your name
  6. We will repeat this process for as many Candidates that we have time for
  7. This WILL BE a friendly, open, and supportive learning session for everyone
    Those who are not aligned with this environment will be asked to immediately leave
  8. At some point we will "turn the tables" and allow an attendee to interview the moderators
Bring your Resume if you like but it won't be needed.  Definitely bring a pen or pencil.
We will provide the forms.  Questions asked are not tied to any skill or profession.
We plan to begin promptly at 9:00 AM with a sign-up list for volunteer interviewees.
First come, first served.  Dress for the role of an interviewee.

· Use the parking lot in the southwest area of the Church facing Walnut Grove in the 
of Entrance 1 (see illustration below)
· Enter the Church using the doors on the RIGHT side of Entrance 1
· Upon entry make two quick right turns where you will see stairs to the second floor
· At the top of the stairs, directly across the hallway, is Room 230 where we meet
