2016 POLITICS - TALKING POLITICS AT WORK AND OTHER PLACES
Under normal election cycles, the political posturing and fighting between parties dwindles
down to a loud disturbance but this year emotions remain heated by some sectors of the
public, elected, reelected and those not being elected/reelected. Tensions are raw, do not
make yourself an open target for those who may have little regard for civil exchanges of facts.

WON'T HIRE THE UNEMPLOYED
Good and talented people are not exempt from companies being acquired, facing tough
economic downturns, have deficient or weak leadership, or see their goods or services no longer in demand, or many other factors that can bring involuntary separations. Many to most factors for unemployment have no relationship to an employee's skills, performance or attitude.
Ask yourself, "Is this a manager or company I would feel proud to be involved with?" If not, why are you still thinking about them? Jobs can be tough to get; bad jobs are plentiful and often more damaging to your career. This is why networking is critical to learn the inside scoop.
Never respond to such statements; be polite and walk out knowing you escaped a future nightmare that could haunt you for years to come. Hostile environments are not worthy of you.
