Leadership

   Leadership is more than standing
   before people and giving orders.

   Omit any of the components that
   constitute good Leadership and you
   are assured of challenges to the
   success of your activities and to the
   loyalty and confidence of the team.
 
   Get it right the first time.


   Decisions:          Refers to someone leading others by motivating them to strive for certain goals
                                    rather than simply act on orders. The leader tries to create a safe and trusting
                                    environment, and ensure the organization is positioned for success in its
                                    domain—for example, a company in the marketplace. Some interpret motivational
                                    leadership principles as requiring that a leader establish strong ethics, clear vision,
                                    definable values, authentic communication, and be genuinely motivated to promote
                                    collaboration and a positive working environment.


   Challenges:         The identified plus challenges which will be realized and addressed during the
                                    course of the project to achieve success.

   Teamwork:          The identity of individual team members being one of the whole and not separate
                                   components despite their likely individual skills, experiences, and insights. The
                                   members will function as one entity to achieve the challenge before them.

   Creativity:            A phenomenon whereby something new and somehow valuable is formed. The
                                    created item may be intangible often for many areas, such as what does should
                                    the project deliverable look like whether it is currently possible or not for an
                                    innovation project, or is defined for the final deliverable from the Requirements
                                    and the Scope of Work.

   Motivation:            It gives the reason for people's actions, desires, and needs. Motivation can also
                                   be defined as one's direction to behavior, or what causes a person to want to
                                   repeat a behavior and vice versa. A motive is what prompts the person to act in a
                                   certain way, or at least develop an inclination for specific behavior.

   Vision:                 The ability to look forward and envision not what can be done today but how ways
                                  something can be achieved in the future and start defining then creating it today.

   Strategy:           A high-level plan to achieve one or more goals under conditions of uncertainty.
                                  In the sense of the "art of the general", which included several subsets of skills
                                  including "tactics", siegecraft, logistics etc. 
Strategy is important because the
                                  resources available to achieve these goals are usually limited. Strategy generally
                                  involves setting goals, determining actions to achieve the goals, and mobilizing
                                  resources to execute the actions. A strategy describes how the ends (goals) will
                                  be achieved by the means (resources). This is generally tasked with determining
                                  strategy. Strategy can be intended or can emerge as a pattern of activity as the
                                  organization adapts to its environment or competes. It involves activities such as
                                  strategic planning and strategic thinking.
