4 Ways to Rebuild Your Self-Confidence After a Setback  |  Entrepreneur, Jeff Boss             06/12/2015
Setbacks are no fun. In fact, being told you’re not good enough -- for anything -- is about
as enjoyable as having a tooth pulled minus the novocaine.
An unexpected setback can be a
direct hit to your self-confidence. If things have gone well for a number of days, months or
years and then all of a sudden -- bam! -- you receive negative customer feedback or a media
release that paints your company in a less-than-stellar light, rebounding back to where you
were can take some concerted effort.

Building Confidence and Self-Esteem  |  Psychology Today, Neel Burton, MD            05/30/2012, Update 12/2016

Low self-esteem can be deeply rooted, with origins in traumatic childhood experiences

emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, or victims of discrimination on the grounds of religion,
culture, race, sex, or sexual orientation.

project. A long-term assignment he knew well. He could talk about it blindfolded… But that
wasn’t going to stop the convoluted process of preparation Roy was going through now.
