   xxxx  RESEARCH

No one should be sent into a battle without the best information available to help them.
You are going into a battle against unknown numbers to find a job of your dreams.
You must find good reliable sources of information for the duration of your job search.

RESEARCH SOURCES:
Glassdoor.com, Salary.com, Indeed.com, others
Glassdoor.com, for many companies, has interview questions that were at some point asked
by the employer you enter to Glassdoor.com  There is no assurance all of the current questions
will be listed, but you get a feel for the questions asked.

Three Interview Questions That Don't Have Answers
  |  Linkedin, David G. Rettig                                                                                                                                05/03/2017
Yes, insight into the three questions are provided and how to respond to the
question.  One remark is the potential for being asked about your career path.
Some companies have a nice formal path for people to choose from; I just have
not found that company yet and that is a valid response if backed with insight
as to where you want to advance. People who are not interested in advancement
often need to explain that carefully.

GOAL: Collect data for the following from each company interested in
           -  Company reviews made by employees - what are they saying
           -  Read the Interview Questions provided
           -  Search on Google and any company website for recent changes to
the company: new products, dropped products, new facilities, ligitation,
               awards and recognitions, financial health
           -  Search LinkedIn for the hiring manager's name and join relevant LinkedIn
groups to see if the manager is a member, if so use it

   xxxx  CUSTOMIZE APPLICATION MATERIALS

OBJECTIVE:
Align all materials being presented or potentially presented to the company and the
position being sought. Insure all required skills are reflected. Align your Objective
Statement to include the Company Name and Job Title.

Align your Cover Letter in a similar approach. In explaining why you are the perfect
match mention the job title and company again by name.

xxxx  THEIR ARGUMENTS NOT TO CONSIDER YOU

How do you respond to being "Overqualified"?  |  LinkedIn, Beth Kelzer                                02/27/2017
Are you hearing that you are “overqualified” for the opportunities you are applying for?
If you are then here is an approach to consider.

   xxxx  NEVER TAKE REJECTION PERSONALLY

REASON:
So often well skilled and highly driven people are not selected for job interviews.
The higher your climb the more specialized skills become. There can be multiple
reasons for not being selected including simply being overlooked or put aside
for the "unknown" internal candidate putting a selection on hold. Your hiring
manager may have left the company or been promoted to a different organization.

Use this outcome to continue building a strong relationship with the company.
First interviews are more like first dates. Stay in touch with they key players and
increase your odds of behired in a future round when you special skillsets have
greater importance and value to them.
